Within Vet Care, there are terms that can be used interchangeably with industry terminology. Here are the definitions:
- Health Observation: Also called Health Report or Health Event, this is the initial form that is submitted when an animal is found with an issue requiring follow up by the vet staff.
- Health Case: The health case consists of the initial observation, treatment plan (veterinary assessment and activity schedule), completed activities, notes, etc. The health case is initiated by a health observation and remains active until it is completed, cancelled, or closed.
- Treatment Plan: A health observation is converted into a treatment plan which consists of the initial observation, subjective and objective assessment, plan notes, and plan activities (administer medication, perform procedures, collect samples, etc.).
- New Health Reports: Displays all new health observations (health reports) that have been submitted, but not yet converted into treatment plans (cases). Health reports are grouped by facility/room.
- Cases in Review: Displays cases that have been submitted by the vet tech to the vet for review and cases that have been submitted by the PI if the case was submitted to the PI for review and the PI responded.
- Daily Activities: Shows list of facilities/rooms that have activities scheduled in them with a count of planned (upcoming) and lapsed (past due) activities. Clicking on the facility hyperlink takes you to a calendar view of all activities for that facility, whereas clicking on the room hyperlink takes you to a calendar view of all activities for that room.
- Active Cases: Shows facility/rooms with count of active cases in each. Expanding the room allows you to open a case by clicking on its hyperlink from the alert.

- Service Billings: Shows billable activities that are Pending, but not yet billed.
