Dictionaries allow you to create data and terms to use within Cayuse. This way, terminology will be consistent across your institution.
Dictionary Setup can be accessed by clicking the arrow next to Veterinary Care, and clicking Setup Vet Care Dictionaries.
In the left-hand menu, you will see a Table of Contents containing different categories of lists, allowing you to define terms for your department or institution.
Please note: Any changes made to the dictionaries will only affect new cases. It is advisable to finalize your dictionaries prior to going live.
Adding a New Definition
- From the Table of Contents, click on a category.
- Add a definition by clicking on the Add button.
- Fill in the requested information. Asterisks mark required fields.
- Click Save.
In the Health Report Observations, Subjective Observations, Known Causes, and Plan Templates categories, each definition will have a Species list in the table beneath. In order to alter the Species list, click on a definition, and then click Add within the Species table.
