Once you have created a template, you can organize and customize submission templates from the Manage Submission Templates screen. To edit the layout of your template, click on the name to expand the template, and click Edit.
Section
When developing a template, sections allow you to group questions logically. Click on Section 1 to rename it. You can also rename the label, or section number, by clicking into it.
To add a section to the template, click Add Section within the Current Section menu.
You can rearrange sections by clicking on and dragging the section to the desired location.
Sub-sections
A sub-section is a container for items within a section. Each sub-section has a label, title, and description.
To add a sub-section to a form, click on the sub-section item and drag it to the desired location. To add items to a sub-section, click on the item and drag it into the sub-section.
To move the sub-section, click into the box, then click and drag the item. To delete the sub-section, click .
Informational Text
Informational text allows you to provide context or instructions to the users filling out the submission. To add informational text, click on the information item and drag it to the desired location.
Once the box has been placed, click into it to enter your text, then click on to save.
To move the informational text, click into the box, then click and drag the item. To delete the text, click .
Tip: On the first page of your submission, you can explain what users can expect as they fill out their submissions. For example:
Human Ethics is an interactive application system. As you answer the questions, new sections relevant to the type of research being conducted will appear on the left hand side. Therefore not all numbered sections may appear. You do not have to finish the application in one sitting.
