After completing the Conflict of Interest section in your proposal, you will be prompted to complete the Regulatory Compliance section.
Human Subjects
These required questions determine appropriate actions for IRB compliance.
If your research involves human subjects, clicking Yes for the first question will prompt additional questions.
If the proposal involves human subjects and no submission to the IRB has been made, indicate either Not required at proposal submission (JIT)or Submission is pending. If you select Not required at proposal submission (JIT), the review package will be submitted for IRB review once the institution is notified that funding is imminent.
If the proposal involves human subjects and a submission in Cayuse Human Ethics has been created and certified, you can link your Cayuse SP Proposal to your Cayuse Human Ethics study. To do so, click Link IRB Study
The populated list will contain the certified Cayuse Human Ethics studies where members of your research team are a primary contact listed on the study. Select a study, and click Link.
To access the Human Ethics study, click on the study number. Note: you can only access the study if you have the correct permissions in Cayuse Human Ethics.
If your institution does not have Cayuse Human Ethics, you will see a text field to enter your application numbers.
Unlinking a Human Ethics Study.
To unlink a Human Ethics study, click on the broken link beneath Unlink within the linked studies list.
Animal Subjects
If your research involves animal subjects, clicking Yes for the first question will prompt additional questions.
If the proposal involves animal subjects and no submission to IACUC has been made, indicate either Not required at proposal submission (JIT)or Submission is pending. If you select Not required at proposal submission (JIT), the review package will be submitted for IACUC review once the institution is notified that funding is imminent.
You will see a text field to enter your application numbers and a field to list the species involved in the project.
Research Materials
Special institutional clearances may be required if hazardous research materials are used in the sponsored research or if material is received from the research sponsor. Contact the appropriate office at your institution for guidance.
