Please note: This feature applies only to Proposals (S2S) customers that are on the Cayuse platform.
If a key person needs to be added to a Proposals (S2S) proposal but does not yet exist in the Admin module, they may be added as a local person.
Local persons will not sync to the Admin module, will not be searchable in Proposals (S2S), and will not appear in S2S reports. We recommend using local persons only in time-sensitive situations where the individual cannot be added to the Admin module quickly enough.
Creating a Local Person
Local persons are marked with an info tooltip icon to the left of their name. Hovering over this icon displays the message: “This Local Person is not sourced from Admin.”
- Open a proposal in Proposals (S2S) and navigate to the RR Key Persons form.
- Click the Add a Key Person pencil button.
- The Add Key Person pop-up window will appear. At the bottom of the window, click Add New Local Person.
- Click OK to proceed with the local person creation. A new pop-up window will open.
- Enter the first, middle (optional), and last name of the local person. Proposals (S2S) includes a duplicate name check. If the name matches one already in the system, a warning will appear.
- Click Create New Profile to continue. The name entry window will be replaced with an Institution Details pop-up window.
- Assign the local person to an affiliated institution. You may also provide default budget information to assist with autofilling budget fields in the proposal.
- Once all fields are complete, click Save Key Person. The local person will be created and autofilled into the proposal.

Removing a Local Person
A local person can be removed from a proposal using the same process as for a standard key person.
Please note: Once removed, a local person cannot be re-added to the proposal. They will need to be entirely re-created in order to be restored.
