This article explains how to activate, deactivate, and work with a Holiday/Emergency Plan.
Holiday/Emergency Plans can be used during any low staffing situation. Their main purpose is to remove less important activities from the schedule in bulk.
Plans have to be activated on a day-by-day and unit-by-unit basis. For example, you can activate a plan on Unit A on Monday but not for Unit B.
Instructions
Activating an Emergency in a Unit
- Open Daily Planning, and click on the … button next to the Date and then Holiday/Emergency Plan option.
- For each species, check activities that should remain on the schedule.
- Click Apply.
Deactivating an Emergency
- Click on Emergency Schedule in the top bar.
- Click on the … button next to the Apply button and then Deactivate option.
Holiday/Emergency Plan UI Summary
- Indicates a Holiday/Emergency Plan is currently active. Clicking on this will also open the Holiday/Emergency Plan view.
- Estimate of how many staff are needed to cover the checked activities.
- Checkable list of activities categorized by: Species in the room, Rooms without species, Staff activities, or Facility/area activities. Then grouped by Holiday/Emergency Tier from the Dictionary.
- Quick select activities by the Tier
- Selecting lower Tiers automatically includes Tiers above it. e.g. selecting Tier 3 will include Tier 1 and 2 as well.
- Cancel or Apply changes to the plan
- Deactivate plan from this menu
Restore activities for a room/
Activities canceled by a Holiday/Emergency Plan can be restored the same way a normally canceled activity would be.
- Open the room in Daily Planning.
- Click View Canceled Activities button.
- Check activities to restore and click Restore Checked Activities button.
Restore activities for a staff
Same can be done from the staff view
- Open the staff schedule dialog by clicking their name in the Resource Pool.
- Click View Cancelled Activities.
- Select activities and click Restore button.
