As an admin, you can send account set-up notifications to individuals depending on the account type and status.
All account set-up notifications are configured through Email Admin and sent through the Edit Account window. You can reach this window from the Award Administration page by clicking on the distributions tab, and then clicking on the account number.
Once in the Edit Account window, click . After viewing the Email Preview, click Send Email.
Account with Preliminary Status
If an account is Preliminary, it means that PIs can incur sponsored project costs before the award is received. Because of this, administrators can send the PI a Letter of Guarantee. This lets the PI know that they assume financial and administrative liability for the project.
Account with Set-Up in Progress Status
If an account has the status Set-Up in Progress, you can send a notification to certain individuals requesting that they finish setting up the account.
Temporary Accounts
For Preliminary and Set-Up in Progress notifications, temporary accounts have different templates than regular accounts.
Editing Templates for Set-Up Notifications
- At from your dashboard, click the Admin tab, and click Email Admin.
- Use the drop-down menu to filter either Accounts or Temp Accounts.
- Clicking on any text within the row will open the email template window.
- Use the tabs to edit the following:
- General:Edit subject line and to/from fields.
- Description: Edit the template's description.
- Email Body
- Example Email
- Notes: Add a note about the template.
- Email Log: See when the template was sent out in the past.
- Once you're done editing, click .
