As an administrator, you may set up a guest account for anyone needing Cayuse access that is not part of your organization's Single Sign-On (SSO) account, such as external auditors, reviewers, or collaborators.
Please note: Guest users is meant for SSO setup only. If you are utilizing the Cayuse Platform users and password functionality, that is not the intent for this functionality.
Guest Account Setup
- Click on Products, and then on Admin. You will be routed to the 'People' tab.
- Click on New Person.
- Complete the guest user profile information. Click Save.
- Click on User Account & Roles.
- Click on New Account.
- You will be prompted to complete the New Account profile.

- Toggle Guest Account to 'Yes'.
- Enter email of guest user.
- Create username for guest user to use at login.
- Click Save.

Guest Account Activation
Your guest user should receive an account activation email sent to the email address used when creating their profile (see above). The activation email will include your guest users':
- Username
- Temporary password (they will be prompted to change at first login)
- Unique Guest Account URL (example: orgname.uat.cayuse.com/guest). Please note: This is different from the usual login URL at your organization.
If your guest user did not receive an activation email, you can resend it by clicking Resend Activation from the User Account & Roles section in their People profile.
Please note: Once an account is designated a Guest Account, it cannot be switched to a non-guest account. To learn how to deactivate an account, click here.
