Once the research team has addressed any discussions or issues and the submission is ready to progress through the review process, you can choose which review type is most appropriate for the submission by clicking Assign Review Type/Board beneath Required Tasks.
Selecting Full Board Reviews
The Full-Expedited review option is used in cases where an Analyst or a single assigned Reviewer can make a simple decision on a submission currently under Full Board Review. For example, when a submission goes to the Human Ethics Full Board for review and the decision is Minor Stipulations or Return to PI, it will be returned to the PI to make necessary changes. When the PI returns the revised submission to the Human Ethics Office, the Analyst can apply the Full-Expedited review path to accelerate a final decision. By doing so, the submission avoids waiting for the next Full Board Meeting and, instead, receives an expedited decision from the Analyst or assigned Reviewer.
- In the right-hand panel, use the Review Type drop-down menu to select Full Board.
- If the review is a full expedited review, toggle the switch to Yes. If selecting Yes, you will be required to answer whether the submission will be reviewed by an Analyst or IRB board member.
- Use the drop-down menu beneath Review Board to select the board that will be reviewing the submission. Once you select the board, the board members will populate.
- Once you select the review board, a Review Board Roster will populate. Review the roster before clicking .
