New in HR Connect Bulk Load Template: Internal Associations

The following updates have been made to the Internal Associations tab in the HR Connect Bulk Load Template:

General Updates

• Max field counts have been updated to mirror the max field counts being used in the UI.
• Blank spaces that are trimmed/removed in the Unit Orgs import now must match the trimmed/removed blank spaces in the same fields and columns on the Internal Associations import.
• Blank Rows are now ignored in .csv imports.
• If Yes / No is entered for Boolean fields in the .csv, these values will no be translated to true / false in the generated report file.
• Uploading backslashes ( \ ) is not fully supported in HR Connect. Single and double backslashes will result in a parsing error. However, the following workaround is available:
  • If a backslashes is needed in the DB/UI, use an even number of backslashes in the field (ex: two backslashes will populate one, four backslashes will populate two, etc)

Column Header Updates

• Any non-required column headers can now be removed from the import file and no changes will be made to those fields upon import.
• When updating people data:
  • If there is a column header with a null value associated row, the data in admin will be erased.
  • If there is not a column header included in the .csv file the erase/null field data for that row will not be erased.
• When a column header is not required, a blank/null field value will be respected during the import process for the following columns:
• • • Appointment Type
    • Appointment (matched on Username or employee ID, along with unit primary code and Title in the import.)
    • ERA Roles (Default = False)
    • Contact (if adding Contact section, an email address is required at a minimum)

New in Platform: General

• Accessibility improvements have been made to Budget and My Profile headers.
• A new integration with ORCID enables users to link their Cayuse and ORCID profiles together, and add a verified ORCID ID to their Cayuse profile. Customers wanting to utilize this feature will need to follow these steps:
  1. Have an account setup between their institution and ORCID
  2. Reach out to support to have the feature configured
  3. Once activated, all of their researchers can connect their ORCID accounts to Cayuse

Resolved in Admin

Issue: An issue occurred where the user was able to edit a Funding Round to have the Internal Closing Date set after the External Closing Date.

Resolution: There is now validation in place to ensure the Funding Round Internal Closing Date is always set to be the same or a date prior to the External Closing Date when adding OR editing a Funding Round.

Issue: The date format in the Admin module adheres to the US format, regardless of the browser's regional settings.

Resolution: Regional date formats now appear throughout the Admin module, except for the Training & Certification section, which will maintain the US date format for the time being.
