When referring to the date/time format within Platform Manager, there are two different considerations:
- The timezone within Platform Manager
- The date display format based on individual browser settings
The following information describes the differences and details of each.
Timezone within Platform Manager
Since the timezone can affect various dates (i.e. date completed, due by, submitted, etc) it is important to have a consistent date in each tenant. The Time Zone is chosen by the customer and then setup by the Cayuse Implementation Specialist within Platform Manager at the tenant level. After the timezone is set, a CDX message is published for downstream products to utilize.
Users can view their tenant timezone by clicking on the user drop-down menu under their display name in the upper right-hand corner of the application.
Browser Setting Date Display
The display format is based on the user’s individual browser location. This display format makes it easier for users to view the date format based upon what they are accustomed to seeing.
Please note: This is the date display format only. The Platform tenant setting is used to determine the actual date/timezone, as described above.
Platform currently supports the following date formats:
- DD/MM/YYYY is EN-SG (Singapore)
- MM-DD-YYY is EN-US (US format)
- YYYY/MM/DD is EN-CA (Canada)
The following Date format will be automatically utilized for any other browser location outside of Singapore, the US, or Canada:
- DD/MM/YYYY
