A Backbone Administrator is any user with authorization to use Backbone. Each administrator can be assigned a unique set of privileges based on their responsibilities.
Adding an Administrator
- Within Cayuse SP, click on the Admin tab, and then click Backbone.
- Click on the Admin tab.
- Click Add Administrator in the left-hand menu.
- Click into the search box.
- In the dialog menu, enter the last name of the administrator you wish to add, and click Search.
- Click on the individual who needs admin privileges. Their name will populate in the Person Name box on the Authorization Management screen.
- Click the Yes radio button next to the privileges you wish to grant.
- Click Submit.
Admin Privileges
- Global Admin: Has full access to all functions in Backbone, Research Contacts, and Events.
- Admin Edit: Can view, add, and remove Backbone administrators and change their privileges.
- Admin View: Can view the the list of Backbone administrators, but not modify it.
- Unit Edit: Can view, add, and remove departments and change their information.
- Unit View: Can view departments, but not modify them.
- Person Edit: Can view people and update people to import users and user data from Cayuse 424.
- Person View: Can view people, but not update people.
- Sponsor Edit: Can view, add and remove sponsors and change their information.
- Sponsor View: Can view sponsors, but not modify them.
