As a Cayuse Backbone administrator, you can search for, edit, or delete an SP unit within Cayuse Backbone. Once on the information page, you can choose to either edit or delete the unit.
Searching for a Unit
- Within Cayuse SP, click on the Admin tab, and then click Backbone.
- Click on the Org Hierarchy tab.
Beneath Org Hierarchy Management, you will see your institutions hierarchical tree. You can click on any unit within the tree to be brought to the Edit Unit page.
If you don't immediately see the unit you are looking for, enter a part of the unit's name or number into the search field and click Search.
If your search matches only one unit name, you will be directed to the unit's record. Otherwise, you'll see a list of matching units. Click on the unit name to be brought to the Edit Unit screen.
Editing a Unit
On the Edit Unit screen, all fields with the exception of Unit Code. Are editable. You can also click the checkbox for Hide Unit, which will hide a unit within Cayuse Research Suite products. The unit will still be visible in Backbone.
When you are finished editing the unit, click .
Deleting a Unit
Please note: Units cannot be deleted from the Backbone Org Hierarchy if they have child units. You must reassign all child units to a new parent in order to delete a unit.
On the Edit Unit screen, click . A dialog window will ask you to confirm the deletion. Click Delete.
