Detailed Release Notes
New and Enhanced
- Users without an IRB role will no longer appear in the Find People field when adding members to IRB studies, preventing unauthorized additions.
- Improved the software so that documents hidden by a question in a submission form are no longer included in the study’s Attachments section.
- On the Reviewer Make Decision page, a new Manage Dates dropdown lets admins set Admin Check-In and Expiration dates for modifications, with mandatory justification and proper handling of editable/removable dates.
This new functionality was added to satisfy multiple business needs where expiration dates must be removed from studies during renewals. It allows a study’s expiration date to be cleared during the renewal process if the study no longer represents high risk and only an admin check-in date (or no date) is required. This functionality applies to Initial Reviews, Modifications, and Renewals.
When the value None is selected for the Manage Dates field, the Expiration Date and Admin Check-In Date fields, as well as the justification box, are not required.
However, when Expiration Date or Admin Check-In Date is selected for the Manage Dates option, those fields must have a value.
This redesigned functionality allows both dates to be used when needed. It also ensures the fields are visible for decisions that meet the criteria and that data is only required when appropriate.
