Anyone who may need to be added to a protocol, place animal orders, access Cayuse, etc. will need to first be added to Contacts [List] via the Contact Management feature. Contact Management is available to the IACUC Office role out of the box. This alert can be added to other office roles (IBC Office, ABUYER, BOFC) if needed.
In the menu, click on Contact Management.
Contact Types
Contact Types will contain a list of preset types, but you can add additional ones by clicking Contact Types in the menu.
To add a new contact type, click Add, type in the Contact Type, and click Save.
You will see your new contact type listed in the column.
Edit any type by clicking on the Contact Type in the column, and then clicking Edit.
Contact Roles
Contact Roles are the business roles you can assign by clicking Contact Roles in the menu.
To add a new role, click Add.
Type in the unique Business Role, and then use the drop-down menu to pair the record with an eSirius role that defines the permissions. Click Save.
Edit any type by clicking on the Contact Role in the column, and then clicking Edit.
Organization/Department
Organization names and departments are required to run the Protocol Contact Report. To begin adding, click Organization/Department.
To add an organization:
- Beneath Organizations, click Add.
- Fill in the Organization Code and Organization Name, and check if the organization is external.
- Click Save.
Your new organization will appear beneath the Organizations section. You can edit or delete the organization by clicking on the organization row, and then clicking either Edit or Delete.
To add a department:
- Click on the parent organization of the department so it is highlighted yellow.
- If the organization has any departments in the system, you will see them listed beneath Departments. To add a new department, click Add.
- Fill in the Department Name and Sub Department of (if applicable), and click Save.
The department will appear alongside the other departments in the organization. You can edit or delete the department by clicking on the department row, and then clicking either Edit or Delete.
Contacts
Within Contacts, you can add anyone who needs access to IACUC, or anyone who needs to be listed in protocols.
Within Contact Management, click Contacts.
Click Add to add a new contact.
Fill in the contact information and click Save. Fields may be dependent on your institution's settings. Any fields with an asterisk are required.
The contact will appear beneath Master Contact Info. You can edit a contact by clicking their name and clicking Edit.
