Within Cayuse Proposals, the Exploder tool allows you to upload an attachment that explodes into the correct sections within a proposal. This tool is designed for users to comply with certain research plans requiring separate files for sections.
Explodable attachments are also called composite attachments.
Uploading an Explodable Attachment
If a form has a composite/explodable component, you will see the section Composite at the top of the form.
In order for the attachment to explode correctly, the headings within your single attachment will need to contain the following:
- Section headings that follow the naming conventions of the form
- Page breaks at the section headings
- No page headers or footers
To upload an explodable attachment:
- Click
within the Composite section. - Click on

to upload the correctly-sectioned file. Please Note: You can only upload flattened PDFs as final attachments. - Click Upload.
Once the attachment is uploaded, the individual sections of the form will populate with the split file.
You can click any file name to view the sectioned files.
Please Note: Section file sizes will not add up to the size of the composite/explodable file.
