Here's a quick overview of the updates in this release:

• This release delivers high impact features and bug fixes to reduce administrative burden for biosafety research compliance programs. 
• Overview of the new features and enhancements:
  • A flexible option for programs to allow protocol submission delegation to protocol personnel, which brings efficiencies to the protocol drafting, amendment, and renewal process.
  • Full review workflow for expiring protocols supports key compliance requirements for international programs. 
  • Expiration date display for amendments and De Novo protocols in review provides administrators with quick access to critical due dates.
  • Separate committee minutes and agenda previews allow programs to configure and access important documents.

New and Enhanced

• Compliance programs now have flexibility to control PI submission delegation. This feature can be selectively hidden if the program does not allow PI submission delegates.

  • New feature empowers administrators to customize approval emails for new protocols, amendments, and continuing reviews by adding custom text and copy emails.
    
    
    
    
• Compliance committees can now send expiring protocols through a full review process.
• The protocol version comparison tool has been enhanced to display revision and version numbers.
  
  
  
  
• The system now displays the expiration date for protocols undergoing De Novo renewal and amendment.
  
  
  
  
• Revision tracking is now available on the attachments pages within protocol forms.
• The user interface of the Save Synopsis button in the review pane is enhanced.
• Committee Meeting Agenda and Minutes
  • Word editor fields are now supported in meeting notes, allowing administrators to meet committee formatting specifications.
    
    
    
    
• New fields have been added to record member votes for agenda topics.
• In an effort to align with other sections of the agenda, Notes have been renamed to Minutes.
• Compliance administrative staff now have tools to manage meeting minutes for topics, with Office roles able to search, edit, and access these minutes through a new feature called Agenda Topics Search. This feature also delivered separate agenda and minutes previews.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• New notifications from the agenda allow administrators to communicate key committee decisions to researchers.

Resolved

Issue: When attempting to add a new abbreviation in the Protocol Dictionaries Funding list, users encountered an issue and were unable to add any new abbreviations without refreshing the page.

Resolution: The underlying issue that caused the session to retain the previous abbreviation has been addressed. Users can now add new abbreviations to the Protocol Dictionaries Funding list without needing to refresh the page, improving overall experience with managing funding sources.

Issue: The Status field for Continuing Review submissions was not set as a required field, allowing it to be submitted with a blank Status.

Resolution: The selection of the Status field for Continuing Review submission is now required prior to submission.

Issue: An out-of-box issue prevented the deletion of committee member footnotes, causing difficulties in managing accurate committee records.

Resolution: The issue has been fixed, and committee member footnotes can now be successfully deleted.

Issue: An out-of-box issue caused the Progress Report page to be missing in the IBC Protocol Preview and FDR.

Resolution: The issue has been resolved to properly display Progress Report page in IBC Protocol Preview and FDR.
