After selecting a grant opportunity on Grants.gov and downloading it, the Cayuse download may include multiple opportunities with the same opportunity number. To identify the correct opportunity, follow the steps outlined below.
Identifying the Correct Opportunity
1. In Cayuse Proposals, downloading an opportunity can sometimes generate a screen like the one shown below, where multiple opportunities share the same number.
2. To determine which one to choose, go to the Grants.gov website and search for the opportunity number using the Search Grants tab.
3. Click on the opportunity number to open the View Grant Opportunity page.
4. Next, click on the PACKAGE tab to view the details about the packages.
5. Review the Competition Title column, which explains the types of opportunities covered. Once the desired opportunity is located, refer to the Competition ID column directly to the left of the Competition Title for the information needed to identify the correct opportunity in Cayuse Proposals.
For example, if submitting a Type 7 Training opportunity, use the "FORMS-I-TYPE7-TRAINING" identifier.
6. Once the Competition ID is obtained, return to the Cayuse Proposals Opportunities List page and locate the matching wording in the Comp. ID column.
Once the correct opportunity is identified, click on the green plus sign on the left side of the listing to select it.
