So you know the opportunity for which you want to apply and you've downloaded that opportunity from Grants.gov. There's only one problem. The Cayuse download pulled down more than one opportunity. How do you decided which on to use?
In Cayuse Proposals, it is possible to download an opportunity and end up with a screen like the one below, which is showing eight opportunities with the same number.
To figure out which one to choose, you will want to go out to Grants.gov's website and search for the opportunity number using the Search Grants tab.
When the opportunity comes up (see below right yellow highlight), click on the opportunity to bring up the View Grant Opportunity page.
Then click on the APPLICATION PACKAGE tab to bring up the details about the packages.
Review the Competition Title column (light blue-green) which explains the type of opportunities that are covered. When you find the one you are looking for, read theCompetition ID column (yellow) directly to the left of the Competition Title to get the information you need to identify the correct opportunity in Cayuse Proposals.
For instance, if you will be submitting an "R01" opportunity, you will want to use the "ADMINSUPP-RESEARCH-B2."
Once you have your Competition ID, return to Cayuse Proposals's Opportunities List page and locate the same wording in the Comp. ID column (yellow below).
This is the opportunity you want to use, so click on the green plus sign to the far left of the listing.
