Your Cayuse SP System Administrator must do the following before the Budget Builder is available in your Proposal or Award records:
- Go to support.cayuse.com and submit a Support ticket requesting the feature to be enabled.
- Configure the budget settings.
- Add the Budget Summary element into your forms.
Please reach out to your SP System Admin for questions or assistance.
Once the steps above are complete, the Budget Builder can be viewed by anyone with access to Proposal and Award records.
Please note: It is currently possible to edit the Budget Builder when the Proposal or Award record is in read-only mode. We highly advise against this and encourage users to only make Budget Builder edits when the Proposal or Award record is in an editable status.
Opening the Budget Builder within a Record
- Select and open a proposal or award link from the Sponsored Projects homepage.
- From the Proposal Form or Award Form tab, click to open the section that contains the Budget Summary Form Object. Please note: The section name may differ from the image shown below as it is selected by your SP Admin during configuration. Please check with your SP Admin if you have questions about the section name.
- From the Budget Summary Form Object section:
- Select the radio button next to the text that says Display summary from Budget Builder.
- Click on the link to the right that says Open budget in Budget Builder.
The Budget Builder tool page will open in a new tab within your browser. You are now ready to set up or modify your budget in the Budget Builder tool. (link to set up article)
