Both IACUC and ABUYER roles have access to Facilities and Rooms setup. This menu lets you add and edit campuses, facilities, rooms, and contacts.
Facilities and Rooms setup can be accessed by clicking the menu next to Animal Oversight.
In the menu, click Setup Facilities & Rooms
Campus
Adding campuses to Cayuse IACUC is optional. To add a campus:
- In the left-hand menu, click Campus.
- Beneath Campus, click Add.
- Fill in the Campus Name and click Save.
Facilities
To add facilities, rooms, and contacts, click Facilities.
To add a Facility:
- Beneath Facilities List, click Add.
- Choose the Campus (optional) and fill in the Facility Name and Code.
- Check if the facility is Bar-coded or Not in Use. If the facility is not barcoded, it will not be available to select when performing a Mobile Inventory.
- Click Save.
Facility Room
To add a Facility Room:
- Click on the facility where the room exists so it highlights yellow.
- Beneath Facility Room, click Add.
- Fill in the fields, and click Save.
Facilities List Fields:
- Room No: only unique room numbers/letters are allowed.
- Floor: optional.
- Cage Capacity: optional.
- Use Location: room displays on Surgery location page.
- Use Housing: room displays on animal order to house the animals only if Use Housing is selected.
- Scan Type: if wifi is available in room indicate Online. Otherwise, select Offline.
Facility Contacts
To add a Facility Contact:
- Click on the facility where the room exists so it highlights yellow.
- Click on the Facility Contact tab, and click Add.
- Enter the first few letters of the contact's name, and matching users will populate. Click on the contact.
- Choose the contact's role, or permissions that they will have for the facility.
- Click Save.
