IACUC dictionaries allow you to create data that researchers can use within their protocols. This way, consistent terminology will be used across your institution.
Dictionary Setup can be accessed by clicking the arrow next to IACUC.
In the menu, click Setup Protocol Dictionaries.
In the left-hand menu, you will see a Table of Contents containing different categories of lists, allowing you to define terms for your department or institution.
Please note: Any changes made to the dictionaries will only affect new protocols. It is advisable to finalize your dictionaries prior to going live.
Adding a New Definition
- From the Table of Contents, click on a category.
- Add a definition by clicking on the Add button.
- Fill in the requested information. Asterisks mark required fields.
- Click Save.
Species Definitions
In the Drug and Euthanasia categories, each definition will have a Species Dosage List. In order to alter the Species Dosage List, click on a definition, and then then add or edit a species.
