Updates to Cayuse Inventions iEdison integration
Users can now send data to iEdison for inventions, patents, and utilization separately. Notice there are Send to iEdison buttons located within each section for iEdison reporting.
iEdison Invention Reporting
Within a Technology record, the Sponsors section includes an input for Grant Contract #. This is now a required field. If you are attempting to send Invention Reporting data to iEdison and a pre-existing Sponsor exists without a Grant Contract #, the system will notify you that the number is required.
Within a Technology record, the iEdison Invention Reporting section now requires a Title Election Note.
Now the Invention Disclosure Form associated with the Technology record will be sent as an attachment to iEdison and the EIR number will be retrieved and input into the record within the EIR # data field in the iEdison Invention Reporting section.
iEdison Patent Reporting
All iEdison Patent Reporting now requires a GSC note and CL note in order to utilize the integration.
iEdison no longer supports the following patent types:
- No Type Selected
- CPA
- FWC
- RCE
If an attempt is made to send data to iEdison with any of the above patent types, the system will prompt an error message.
Each patent that is sent to iEdison using the Patent Reporting section must include a filing date. The filing date can be added or edited by navigating to the Patent record. In the details section, select Edit to input or change the date. Select Make Edits.
Once the filing date has been updated, navigate back to the Technology record that needs to be sent to iEdison and once all required fields have been completed, the data will successfully be sent.
iEdison Utilization Reporting
All iEdison Utilization Reporting now requires an FDA Approval # and Commercial Name in order to utilize the integration.
