Before getting started, please note:

Viewing Non-Sponsored Fund Details
Navigate to the Fund Detail tab. Then, click on the Non-Sponsored Funds sub-tab to view the fund details.
The Non-Sponsored Funds detail will show:
- Beginning Balance as of a chosen point in time (instead of Budget)
- Revenue column
- All other funds, such as Departmental Funding, Gifts, Internal Awards, Cost Share Funds, etc.
Non-Sponsored Funds Overview
- Non-Sponsored Funds Tab: Indicates you are viewing funds that came from this type of funding
- Search & Filter Drop-down: Click to view the drop-down filter menu and apply filters to your search. Click the bar again to hide the menu. See below for more information on how Search & Filter works.
- User’s Chartstring limitations Link: Click to view your own Chartstring limitations
- Active Filters: View actively applied filters
- Fund Type and Fund #: Drag and drop these filters into the results table to group funds by Fund Type and/or Fund #. See below for more information on how drag and drop filters work.
- Results Table: Results from filters selected will appear in this area. Results with a drop-down carrot are expandable, showing more fund detail. The beginning balance accumulates all transactions prior to the selected start date. All other columns include all transactions inclusive of and between the selected start date and end date. This provides a great way to view these accounts on a fiscal year basis.
- Set View: Select viewable table columns
- Download Icon: Download summary results in .xls format
- Transaction Detail ‘View’ Button: Click to view more detailed individual transaction information. Transactions with a drop-down carrot are expandable, showing the most detailed fund information. You can select the .xlsx icon to download the full transaction detail information.
Using the Search & Filter Drop-down
- By clicking anywhere on the Search & Filter bar, a drop-down menu will appear.
- Populate required fields: Date Type, Start Date, End Date
- Select other filters as desired and click Search to retrieve the data and display the results table.
- To reset the filters, click Clear filters.
- Click the bar again to hide the Search & Filter menu.
Using Drag and Drop Filters in Results Table
You can drag and drop column filters into the results table to sort results in different ways. Additionally, the filters can also be removed from the results table using the same drag and drop motion and placing the filter above the table. Further column configurations can be made by using the Set View button to the right of the results table.
