The most common cause of a new IDC rate not showing up on a proposal is that the IDC rate is added after the proposal is created.
During proposal creation, you will be asked the name of the Principal Investigator to be associated with the proposal. From that information, Cayuse Proposals fills in the PI's institutional association and then asks for the Default IDC Rate to be used. Once the proposal is created, the information from the Institutional Profile is automatically pulled into the proposal, including Fringe Rates & Benefits, Escalation Rates, and Indirect Costs (IDC).
If the Institutional Profile is changed by adding a new IDC rate or changing an existing IDC rate after the proposal is created, you will need to click Re-autofill Applicant Organization on the proposal to pull in the updated information.
How to Re-Autofill
Find and open the proposal. Click the green refresh button to the right of Enter name of Organization.
Click Re-autofill Applicant Organization
Save your proposal.
Please note: If you manually filled any information on the Proposal (such as the DUNS number), that information will be replaced by the information in the Institutional Profile, even if that field has not been filled in the Institutional Profile.
