These are the release notes for SP 4.0, updated June 17, 2022.

Major Feature Releases: 

This release brings you the addition of Budget Builder, application Reporting, and a new tab with tools for Admins, called Admin Only.

Budget Builder

The Budget Builder creates a simplified budgeting experience by allowing all users at an organization to use the same organization-approved categories and line items, and F&A rates. Data can be input into the Budget Builder manually. Once input, the Budget Builder reduces administrative work and manual errors by automatically adding the data to the associated Proposal or Award record.

Key Features of the Budget Builder:

  • Cayuse can configure Budget Builder on or off for customers
  • Customer configuration of organization-approved cost categories and line items
  • Applies organization-wide financial policies to budgets
  • Automatically transfers budget values to associated Budget Summary Object

SP 4.0 Reporting

  • We’ve added a new tab called Reporting that allows you to view SP 4.0 data in a reportable and exportable format. Default fields are automatically generated.
  • Now you can create and save custom Award or Proposal report views that can be imported again for future use. 
  • Generated Proposal and Award reports can now contain up to 10,000 records.
  • The Download to CSV implementation can now handle an increased number of records.

Admin Only Tab

  • We’ve added a new tab called Admin Only to Award and Proposal detail pages.
    • For Awards, the Admin Only tab will be visible to SP System and SP Award Administrators.
    • For Proposals, the Admin Only tab will be visible to SP System and SP Proposal Administrators.
  • The new tab will allow Administrators to add notes and attachments that are only visible to other Administrators.

New + Improved

  • Protocols for the following integrations can now be linked to Proposals and Awards:
    • Animal Oversight
    • Hazard Safety

Fixes

  • While the Research Team object credit field is still required, you will no longer see a message that says the total allocated credit must equal 100%.
  • We resolved an issue that was causing a display rule context not to display in the Simplified Form Builder.
  • The display of the Condition column in the Rule Builder table has been updated so that the full rule condition and answer text is always visible now.
