A Census Coordinator can keep inventory current by relocating card records when the cages are moved. To do this, click on the menu next to Animal Inventory and click on Relocate Cards.
Fill in the search fields and click Search.
Effective Date: the date when cages are moved.
Card Status:
- Active: moves the records of cards that are active.
- Active During Current Month: moves the records that were deactivated in the current month.
- Inactive: moves the records of cards that are inactive, such as breeding cards that have been placed in the room prior to weaning.
Choose Option:
- Relocate by scanning cages: scan or type card numbers to relocate one cage at a time.
- Relocate for selected order: enter an order and line item and you can relocate all cages for that order.
- Relocate for selected room: enter a room number (and optionally enter a PI).
- Cayuse will search for records allowing you to relocate one or more cards at one time.
- You can also change the per diem type if appropriate, for example, if animals are coming out of quarantine and moved to another room.
Finally, select the cards you wish to relocate, and click Relocate Selected Cards.
