Release Summary

Here's a quick overview of the updates in this release:

• Data pipelines restructured for improved efficiency, scalability, and future growth with no impact on existing functionality.
• New views and columns added to support team management, funding schemes, and unit tracking in the admin platform.
• Profile management enhanced with a new feature to track multiple profile types.
• Additional operational data views added for resource and risk management.
• Platform scalability improved with incremental data updates and expanded character limits for key fields.
• New data structures introduced to better track funding programs and associated rounds.

Detailed Release Notes

New: General

• Data pipelines have been restructured to increase separability, efficiency, and scalability for future growth (there is no impact on functionality or existing data sets).

New: Platform and Admin

• Two new views have been added to the PUBLISHED_ADMIN schema for the Teams feature in the Platform Admin module.
  • DIM_TEAM: Contains all of the Teams created in Admin.
  • DIM_TEAM_MEMBERS: Lists all of the People added to each Team.
• Two new columns have been added to the DIM_UNIT view in the PUBLISHED_ADMIN schema.
  • CREATED_BY: Indicates who created the Unit in Admin
  • UPDATED_BY: Indicates who last updated the Unit.
• Two new views have been added to the PUBLISHED_ADMIN schema for the new Funding Schemes and Rounds feature in the Platform Admin module and SP.
  • DIM_FUNDING_PROGRAM: Contains all of the Programs that have been defined in the Funding Programs section of Admin. A new data dictionary is here. 
  • DIM_FUNDING_PROGRAM_ROUND: Contains all of the Rounds defined under those Programs. A new data dictionary is here. 
• A new column has been added to the DIM_PERSON view to track the new Profile Type feature added to people's profiles.
  • Multiple Types: When added to a single profile will appear as a comma separated list.

New: Risk and Resource Management

• Additional data views have been added to the PUBLISHED_AOHS schema that includes all remaining standard AOHS tables.
• Additional data views have been added to the PUBLISHED_VIVOPS schema to accommodate the following Vivarium Operations products: Animal Inventory, Animal Procurement, Billing, Service Charges, and Veterinary Care.

New: SP 4.0

• Scalability enhancement: SP4 data sets are now updated incrementally, based on the last update date of each Award, Proposal, etc., rather than using a full batch refresh process.
• The character length for the following field has been expanded to the maximum of 16,777,216 for Proposals, Awards, and Subawards: NOTES_JSON and ATTACHMENTS_JSON
• Each proposal or award can be assigned to one or more funding programs, with the option to assign a single funding round to each. These data elements are now tracked in the following new bridge table: BRG_FUNDING_PROGRAMS. A new data dictionary is here.
