Detailed Release Notes
New and Enhanced
-
Implementation of functionality to support the storage of images in user account notes, stipulations, and comments. This enhances the user experience for base64 encoding.
-
Introduced a system property to allow multiple reviewers to access and edit the same section when processing a submission. The property is in System Administration > System Configuration > System Default Settings > use_submission_restrict_multiple_user. Based on the value of this setting, multiple users will be able to access the same processing screen and work on it simultaneously.
- A title/subject is now required when sending outcome letters to ensure clearer communication.
-
Functionality was added to the System Administration > List Configuration and Maintenance > Audits > System Administration Panel > Readiness Status screen, allowing users to extract the latest approved applications, approved study consent, and approved documents directly from the iRIS interface. These documents get downloaded to the user's documents folder on their computer.
Resolved
Issue: An error was encountered by some users when attempting to run the 'Studies by Drug and Status' report in the IRB system. Selecting any combination of filters and running the report resulted in the error message: 'Error Invalid parameter Please select Trade Drug (TRADE_DRUG_NAME_LIST)'.
Resolution: Implemented a fix to address the error, enabling clients to successfully generate the 'Studies by Drug and Status' report without encountering any errors.
Issue: Discrepancies related to approval and KSP modifications were occurring in the application.
Resolution: The system was updated to accurately approve the latest application version and ensure KSP modifications reflect only in the approved version, eliminating inconsistencies.
Issue: Slow data retrieval and loading times were experienced by some users when opening an application or submission form in the section view. This impacted user experience and productivity due to delays in displaying data.
Resolution: Implemented enhancements to system performance. With these improvements, users can expect faster data loading times, resulting in an improved experience when navigating through form sections.
Issue: Some users encountered a problem in their Production environments where the system failed to refresh when utilizing a panel in a form. Changes made within the panel were not immediately reflected, necessitating a manual browser page refresh to display updates.
Resolution: A fix was implemented to address the issue of the system not refreshing after making changes within a panel. Now, changes made within the panel are immediately displayed without requiring a manual browser page refresh, enhancing user experience and workflow efficiency.
Issue: Daily failure notifications with error messages were received by some users, indicating difficulties opening zip files, possibly due to recent grants.gov changes or maintenance.
Resolution: Investigated and resolved the root cause of the notifications. Additionally, measures were taken to mitigate potential impacts from recent system changes or maintenance activities. Users can now expect improved system stability and reduced error notifications.
